The Mexican Ten Centavo (Diez centavos) is a low circulating coin in Mexico. The coin did not have the "N" (for Nuevo) next to the value like the higher denomination coins upon its release in 1992. These coins contain a wide variety of small amounts of different metals; the most common is Stainless Steel. Starting in 2009, the Casa de Moneda de Mexico began issuing smaller sized 10 Centavo coins, making it the smallest valued circulating coin in Mexico since the 5 Centavo was discontinued in 2002.
